CARNAVAL DE ORURO

After Rio de Janeiro, the Oruro carnival is the second most important in South America in terms of attendance.
It is THE Bolivian carnival par excellence, the second in terms of attendance in South America after Rio de Janeiro. The whole history of Bolivia and its religious and cultural syncretism, represented by a myriad of dancers and musicians from all over the country, is paraded before your eyes. It is a day when all Bolivians celebrate: indigenous people of the Altiplano, Guaranis of the Chaco, mestizos of the Oriente, Afro-Bolivians of the Yungas... so many communities that constitute the rich cultural heritage of the country. Not to be missed.
