The permanent collection is divided into 6 sections. The first room exhibits animal remains more than 60 million years old, the second presents the Wankarani culture, the third houses an exhibition on funerary and corporal practices, then the fourth and fifth contain artifacts from the Tiwanaku, Aymara, Inca and Chiyapa civilizations. Finally, the sixth room presents a collection showing the evolution of the masks of the Oruro carnival over the years.
