DINOSAUR HUELLAS
This site is full of dinosaur footprints, of which more than 2,500 have been recorded
The site is full of dinosaur footprints, of which more than 2,500 have been recorded! These fossilized footprints date back to the Upper Cretaceous. It is reasonable to assume that thousands more are still buried. At the entrance to the village, in Carreras Pampa, are the most important footprints of different dinosaurs (sauropods, theropods and tridactyls), which passed through the site during their migration. Huge footprints can be seen on the canyon walk and smaller ones on the way to the Umajalanta cave.
