This building, the most important of the 19th century, was designed by Baptista de Chuquisaca. The most striking feature is the monumental imperial staircase, framed by two imposing marble columns. The palace's apartments are furnished in neoclassical style. The country's coat of arms appears in the middle of the façade. All the decoration inside the arch is Art Nouveau. Climb up to the terrace to enjoy the view over the plaza principal 25 de Mayo.
