Numerous rock paintings, some dating back to pre-Columbian times, can be found in the vicinity of Sucre. The best-known sites to visit in the region are Incamachay (44 km) and Pumamachay (46 km). This is a 6-hour hike in the mountain range surrounding Bolivia's White City. You'll need to contact a guide or agency in Sucre to visit all these sites, located off the beaten track and on unmarked paths. Allow a full day for your visit (including transport).
