Like most Bolivian markets, the central one is colorful, with fruit stands and typical, hearty dishes for just a few bolivianos. On the first floor, you can enjoy Api and Tojorí, two sweet corn-based drinks flavored with cinnamon and cloves. Upstairs, the caseras are waiting to serve you hot breakfasts. It's like being in an oriental souk. Right next door is the entrance to the Mercado Gremial, where you can find everything from clothes and shoes to fabrics and other imported goods.
