The small colonial village of San Lorenzo, located about 15 kilometers north of Tarija, was formerly known as "Tarija la Vieja". Here you can witness one of the most authentic and exuberant festivals in southern Bolivia. This festival, which attracts several thousand people each year, has been celebrated since 1578, only 4 years after the village was founded. Traditional dances and licor de leche (milk liqueur) tastings are part of the program. You will understand why this region has been nicknamed the "Little Andalusia".
