Small white chapel with a beautiful view of the southwestern part of the city from the atrium
This small white chapel was the first in Tarija, built by Dominican priests from 1578. It was built in honour of the evangelist Saint John. The bells and the painting of the Virgin were brought from Spain. Here the Spanish capitulation was signed after its defeat in the battle of La Tablada (1817). From its atrium, inaugurated in 2014, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the southwestern part of the city.
