Padcaya, located 45 km south of Tarija, is the starting point for several treks, including the Valley of the Condors
Located 45 km south of Tarija, on the road to Bermejo in Argentina, Padcaya is a small charming colonial village that is worth a visit, especially for its artisanal tannery workshops. The road from Tarija offers superb landscapes between mountains and rivers. There are few tourists in sight, but there are some accommodations and restaurants. It is the starting point of several treks, including the Valley of the Condors. If you wish to observe the flora and fauna of the region, the Tariquía Natural Reserve is not far from the village.
