Casa Real produces about 2,000 bottles of Singani per hour, the Bolivian national drink
Casa Real produces Singani, Bolivia's national drink, with the Moscatel de Alejandría grape variety (Muscat of Alexandria, originally from Africa). This variety is not unknown in France: it is grown in the Pyrenees-Orientales, to produce muscat-de-rivesaltes and rivesaltes.
The company produces about 2,000 bottles of Singani per hour. Luis Granier, the founder, died recently. The distillation is done without additives, the fermentation with the seeds and the skin, before a clarification process. Casa Real has six stills from Cognac.
