From La Paz: Flota Yungueña and Flota Totai, in the neighborhood of Villa Fatima, offer this route. The trip must take place during the dry season (March to November). First book La Paz-Rurrenabaque (16 hours minimum travel). In Rurrenabaque, possibility of excursions to incas, jungle and rivers. Upon arrival at Rurrenabaque, reserve the Rurrenabaque-Riberalta section on the very bad road. Departure at 9 a. m. every day. Duration of travel: 2 p. m. The journey, superb, crosses rivers and runs along the inhabited marshes of Caymans… but the journey is far from comfortable.
To leave Riberalta. The best is the plane unless your destination is Brazil. In the latter case, many buses to the Guayaramerin border (3 hours in dry season), or motor boats. We must consider completing emigration formalities, even if visas are not necessary.
Towards Trinidad, there are many buses in the dry season. Count well 25 hours of bus if everything is fine.
