Intact primary forest accessible from the Cerro La Rana trail, home to many species, birds, monkeys and ferns
From Cerro La Rana, a path leads to this primary forest that has remained intact. The exceptional humidity level has allowed very old species to survive to the present day. Birds are numerous and monkeys can also be seen here. Ferns(helechos) can reach 13 m in height and live up to 400 years. There are several trails that cross this almost unique ecosystem in the world. The most popular circuit takes about 4 hours (round trip).
