This village of the province of Santa Cruz perpetuates the tradition with one of the least known carnivals of Bolivia, but which nevertheless attracts nearly 40 000 people! The procession starts from the chapel of the Señor de Malta, the patron saint of Vallegrande. During four days, the music, the dances and the gastronomy of the region are honoured. It will delight those who are willing to venture off the beaten track.
