It is an important handicraft market that has been open for over 50 years. In the Ciudadela, you can find all the Mexican handicrafts at very reasonable prices: textiles, traditional toys, hammocks, wicker and leather articles, black ceramics from Oaxaca... come from the smallest corners of the country. Before taking the plane back home, this is really the place to go for last minute gifts. There is no doubt that you will find your happiness at good prices. You can eat there (small restaurant on the square inside) or drink a cold beer.

If you are looking for souvenirs for you and your friends it is definitively where you need to go. If the sold objects were not sombreros and other ponchos, you would think you were in a souk. The small full shops fissure of crafts. The prices are very low and you will find everything: hats, knick-knacks, clothes...
