HOSTERIA DE SANTO DOMINGO
One of the long-standing restaurants of the historic centre. Originally the Lago de Santo Domingo was part of the convent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán. It was a haven for the people who traveled across the country. Inside the restaurant, a fresco describes the life around Santo Domingo Square around 1840. The kitchen is traditional. Speciality of the house: chiles them in nogada, the national dish made of meat filled with meat and covered with a species of peanut sauce. You can't find it everywhere. For the most delicate, traditional soups and salads.
