CANTINA LA POTOSINA
There is no hubris in this neon bar, which is nicknamed "La cueva del Potro", in reference to the Potros de Hierro, which refers to the players of the Atlante FC football club, originally from Mexico City, but whose franchise has long since moved to Cancún. Times are changing, but not this neon light room to wake the dead. It is said that the place has not changed its name since the end of the 19th century (the fourth oldest in the historic centre), and that its drinkers have been as varied as Emiliano Zapata, Che Guevarra, Jose Guadalupe Posada, Maria Rojo and Fidel Castro. At the door, the Santa Muerte welcomes customers while a skeleton dummy sitting in the bar makes sure that the parishioners empty their glasses cheerfully. Customers like to come and play dominoes. Popular and friendly as ever.
