ECOBICI is Mexico City's self-service bicycle system. The network includes more than 400 stations throughout the capital. It is a very good way to discover Mexico City while burning some calories, since nearly 150 km of bike paths have been created by the government (see the corresponding map on ECOBICI's website), which tries to encourage the use of bicycles in order to limit the pollution linked to car journeys. However, avoid going off the marked paths, as motorists sometimes behave dangerously.
