MUSEO INDÍGENA
The Indigenous Museum of Mexico City exhibits a collection of 115 works of art made by 68 indigenous communities.
Very little visited by tourists, the Indigenous Museum of Mexico City exhibits a collection of 115 works of art made by 68 indigenous communities. Each of these artifacts has its own symbol of indigenous cosmogonic visions. Examples include a Nahua mask made of human hair and wax that was used to ridicule the Spaniards, protective amulets, clay dolls and other unique treasures. The museum also deals with several ethical and social issues such as discrimination and dispossession of territories. What to see.
