PLAZA HIDALGO
Plaza Hildalgo is the main square where the parish church and the former convent of San Juan Bautista are located
It is the main square where the parish and former convent of San Juan Bautista, one of the oldest Catholic centers in the Valley of Mexico (16th century) is located. It is adjacent to the Plaza Centenario. In the middle of the latter, one can admire a fountain with carved coyotes, which refers to the toponymy of Coyoacán, "place of coyotes". Around it are several restaurants and a well-stocked bookstore. Together, these two Plazas, which are very lively on weekends, form the heart of the Coyoacán neighborhood.
