Alfredo Zalce Museum of Contemporary Art and Dr. Manuel Martinez Solorzano Museum of Natural History in Morelia
The Alfredo Zalce Contemporary Art Museum (MACAZ) and the Dr. Manuel Martinez Solórzano Natural History Museum are located in the large park of Bosque Cuauhtémoc. It was he who established a research program to identify the natural resources of the state. 100 m further on, in the Plaza Morelos, one can admire the equestrian statue of Morelos as a proud fighter and two religious buildings, the Ex Convento de San Diego and the Santuario de Guadalupe of which the facade and the tower remain. This building is occupied by the law school of the university.
