This former convent of the Dominican nuns of Saint Catherine housed within its walls one of the oldest hospitals in Mexico. Various handicrafts are displayed in the different rooms of this beautiful colonial house, which now only has 5 patios. But a must-see is the workshop of Mario Agustin Gaspar Rodríguez and Beatriz Ortega, artisans who make Christs and other religious figures using an age-old indigenous technique: pasta de cañade maiz.
