The Palace is named after Prince Antonio de Huitziméngari, son of the last purepechá governor and son-in-law of the first Viceroy of New Spain, Don Antonio de Mendoza. Its sober façade hides two large and beautiful flowered patios, which host a multitude of local indigenous craftsmen. During the Fiesta of the Dead, there are also a good number of artisans from other parts of the country, with a good delegation from Chiapas. Perfect for finding quality handicrafts to admire or to take home in your suitcase.
