One of the best views of the lake and a great feeling to get high on a sleeping volcano in Patzcuaro
The mirador of El Estribo offers one of the best viewpoints on the lake and a very nice feeling of height. A typical Mexican bonus is that it is located on a dormant volcano (Volcán del Estribo Grande)! You can get there by taking a nice paved path surrounded by trees. At the top, 400 steps are waiting for you to reach the summit. Once you reach the top, you can relax in the rest area and enjoy the panoramic view.
