The museum shares the building with the House of Culture of the city. It exhibits various préhispaniques pieces and manuscripts and photographs that belonged to Eduardo Ruiz, a man of letters and historian from the city. In April 2013, the museum and the house of culture were still closed for renovation work, but they were to reopen their doors very soon.
