Several beaches along Zihuatanejo Bay: from right to left, you will find the beaches Contramar, Almacen, Main, La Madera, La Ropa and Las Gatas. The most beautiful beaches of Zihuatanejo are Playa la Ropa and Playa La Gata, where the sea is crystal-clear.
A few kilometres south of Zihuatanejo, behind the rocky promontory, you will find Playa Larga (13,2 km long beach) which leads to the far on the Barra de Potosí (fishing beach, facing a lagoon). These beaches are quieter and more savage, but also much more dangerous for bathing, because they are protected by no bay. There are also several options for accommodation.
