Opened in 1992, it is a small museum with 6 permanent rooms that displays objects found in the region (culturally related according to some researchers to the Cultura del Occidente), whose style belongs to various pre-Columbian cultures and periods (Olmec, Teotihuacan, Tarasque Empire, Mexicas de Tenochtitlán): ceramic, obsidian, utensils, weapons. Most of the pieces were found in La Madera, in the mountains and in other sites near the port. This shows the importance of the region's trade exchanges with civilizations from within.
