While waiting for the construction of the highway planned since a few years, it is unfortunately rather constraining to join by the road the Pacific coast from Oaxaca. Fortunately, this airline company is very practical to avoid hours and hours of bus on very winding mountain roads... It offers flights to Puerto Escondido and Huatulco (40 minutes). Be careful, the planes are very small, and the turbulences are felt when the weather is not clear. You are warned!

Aerotucan offers convenient flights from Oaxaca to the coast, but changes or cancellation are difficult to negotiate. This cannot be done thru the website and requires long holds waiting to talk to someone with poor english/french/whatever on the phone. In my case I had a fever due to Covid and was not able to provide lab test results within 24hrs as demanded, so no refund or credit as with regular airline and new tickets required for reschedule. Bottom line is, be careful and know this is not regular business.
