A beautiful colonial residence in the centre of Oaxaca, just steps from the Zócalo and close to the Santo Domingo district, hosts the Sierra Azul hotel («the blue mountain»). From the street you can see its elegant facade and, inside, a beautiful patio with a Dominican fountain, as well as antique frescoes painted on its arches. The hotel has 15 rooms decorated with 5 junior suites and very well equipped with air conditioning. A restaurant was opened in 2007 and offers a kitchen with a few international dishes.
