Beautiful ethnobotanical garden where different varieties of plants, especially cacti, are grown in Oaxaca.
The former park and vegetable garden of the Santo Domingo convent has been converted into a beautiful ethnobotanical garden. Since 1998, varieties of plants, especially cacti, from the different regions of Oaxaca, with arid, humid, tropical or mountainous climates, have been grown there. The garden gives a good overview of the diversity of vegetation in the state. Entrance is by guided tour only: in Spanish Monday through Saturday at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm; in English Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 11:00 am; in French on Tuesday at 5:00 pm.
