The aim of the centre is, as its name suggests, to inform visitors about the knowledge of biology, conservation and legislation for the protection of turtles and to promote ecological tourism. The visit is ideal for getting to know the seven species of sea turtles out of the eight that exist on the planet. The centre also has temporary campsites on the surrounding beaches, and sometimes asks for help from volunteers.
