EX-CONVENTO BETLEHEMITA

It is a beautiful convent of the Betlehemite order, typical of 18th-century port architecture, and was home to a hospital until 1976. In 1987 it became the headquarters of theInstituto veracruzano de la Cultura, as well as the first cultural centre dedicated to both traditional and contemporary expressions. The ground floor of the building still hosts artistic events. Since its creation, theInstituto veracruzano de la Cultura has reinvested and given new life to several historical buildings in the state's cities.
