CATEDRAL DE LA INMACULADA CONCEPCIÓN
Cathedral of eclectic style in Jalapa, endowed with pieces of sacred art, with a set nevertheless very well maintained
Although built in the mid-17th century, the cathedral has undergone so many changes over the decades that its style is described as eclectic, with almost none of its original elements remaining. The interior was ransacked in 1977, leaving few sacred works of art. The complex is nevertheless very well maintained and well worth a visit, especially as its episcopal see is one of the oldest buildings in the city.
