Very good museum exposing archaeological pieces from the Olmec and Mayan civilizations, monumental sculptures...
On three levels, this very good museum exhibits more than 700 archaeological pieces from the Olmec and Mayan civilizations: ceramic works, decorative stucco friezes, bone and metal objects, shells and monumental basalt sculptures; the objects come from the Olmec and Mayan areas: La Venta, Bonampak, Isla de Jaina (Campeche) and many others. A large part of the collection was donated by the Tabasqueño writer Carlos Pellicer.
