Small museum in a building that served as a barracks, prison or school until the 1970s in Loreto
Here is a magnificent small museum installed in this building which was used as barracks, prison or school until the 1970s. Its seven rooms tell as well the pre-Columbian history of the peninsula as the one of the missions and numerous ranchos of the region. Also to be seen: some curiosities, like these pieces of Chinese art which were exchanged by the ships against the victuals supplied by the missions of the Pacific coast.
