Installed since 2000 in the former Convent of La Merced, this beautiful space is ideal for learning a little more about this 20-million-year-old fossilized resin, from its formation and extraction, to its uses over time, its transformation and trade around the world. There are pieces of all sizes, both raw and worked, and excellent explanations on how to recognize genuine amber from counterfeit. A wonderful visit.
