Museum that can be visited for its reconstruction of the funerary chamber of K'inich Janaab' Pakal in Palenque.

This museum, despite other little treats for the eyes, is best visited for its magnificent reconstruction of the burial chamber of K'inich Janaab' Pakal. Everything is presented with accuracy, down to the smallest detail. The slab covering the sarcophagus is engraved with a scene in which the ruler emerges again from the bowels of the earth and is reborn, thus imitating the famous corn god with a cyclical resurrection. Unmissable.

La visite du musée complète bien la visite du site. On y voit la reconstitution du tombeau de Pakal qui est très impressionnant ! Nombreuses pièces archéologiques dont les brûleurs d'encens en terre cuite qui sont des pièces incroyables !!!
