The village of Sainte-Marie is home to the small Romanesque church of Sainte-Agathe, decorated with two beautiful stained glass windows signed by Jean Cocteau.
The small village of Sainte-Marie is worth a visit. The houses have been restored in the respect of the traditions. At the end of its central square and its large chestnut trees, the small Romanesque church of Sainte-Agathe is decorated with two beautiful stained glass windows signed by Jean Cocteau. One represents a Christ, the second a Saint Hubert. The artist had drawn the cartoons at the request of a young couple of neighbors who wanted to make a donation to their home town.
