THE TRESTLE BRIDGE
After visiting the beautiful village of Sainte-Marie, take the road that winds along the Truyère Valley. Several kilometers lower, it will offer you your view: The Treboul Bridge. This suspension bridge surprises almost as much it is unexpected to see such a book in nature. It was built in the years 1934 and 1935, when the Sarrans dam was put into service, located on the aveyronnaise part of Truyère. Beneath it is found, submerged, the old bridge that allowed to cross the river. It was reappeared in 2014 when the dam was emptied. Roll on the sparkling pavements to cross the suspension bridge and join Warm-Aigues by the departmental road 11. All the journey, magnificent panoramas are available, sometimes on the Truyère Valley, sometimes higher on the Cantal Mountains. A real treat!
