DOS PALMAS ECOTOURS
Initially, it is a project that tends to develop economically and socially the Maya community of Dos Palmas through the promotion of its ceremonial site. This community offers, through the meeting with the priest of the village "original shaman of the jungle! ", the possibility of better understanding the Maya world. The price includes a visit to a hut and a presentation on the life of today's Maya, a rather warm course in the temazcal (Maya sauna), a swimming in the pretty cenote of the property and a traditional dinner rather good but not rich. Everything may seem rather folkloric at first glance, but thanks to the Gonzalo Guide (alias Gonzo!) who speaks French very well, we are emerged from the internship in real warrior, filled with knowledge about the indigenous people and their beliefs. Finally, much remains to be learned.
