MUSEO MIRADOR EL FUERTE
Museum in El Fuerte with photos, documents and relics to better understand the way of life of the inhabitants
The museum is set on the heights, and there is a nice view of the village and the river from the walkway. Although it is a reconstruction of the fort built in the 17th century, the building is very pleasant and offers a wealth of information about the region: local cultures, fauna and flora and history. The museum focuses on the Mayos, a tribe historically settled in the states of Sinaloa and Sonora. Photos, documents and relics allow to better understand their way of life. The visit is nice, although rather fast.
