The city's archaeological museum is housed in a neoclassical building dating from the early 20th century. The four rooms of this museum (a little old-fashioned and dull) house interesting archaeological pieces from the southern region of the state, belonging to the group of cultures known as theOccidente. Of particular note are the beautiful potteries, dating from 900 to 1200. At the entrance, a mammoth skeleton immediately puts us in the mood.
