This majestic 30-metre high cathedral is one of the most emblematic buildings in the city. It is located in a very pleasant square with a beautiful kiosk. It was built in 1877, although a smaller chapel had already been erected here in the 18th century. Too small to accommodate a growing congregation, it was demolished and this imposing cathedral was built in its place, with the dome completed in 1963.
