MUSEO REGIONAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE SONORA
Built between 1944 and 1948 by General Abelardo Rodríguez. Five rooms in total to present ethnographic and craft pieces. In the archeological room, two mummies, say Yecora, are the nail in the collection. The first, discovered in 1959 in the southeast of the state, could date from five centuries. The second female was discovered in 1964. They are believed to belong to the indigenous tarahumaras or pimas who lived in the region few centuries before the village was founded in 1673. There are also the more recent history of missions and colonization, not forgetting the inevitable Revolution. Numerous activities: presentation of children's books and workshops.
