A Quinta Gamerous building located in Chihuahua, of Art Nouveau inspiration, with a beautiful collection of period furniture

The story goes that Manuel Gameros started building this wonderful palace in 1907 as a wedding present for his fiancée. The young woman had time to fall in love with the architect before the work was finished. However, the gentleman remained faithful to his promise. The building, of Art Nouveau inspiration, is sumptuous. The dining room is magnificent and the whole is harmonious, very rich. A beautiful collection of period furniture, Art Nouveau style, is to be discovered through the wandering of its different rooms.

Le bâtiment, par son architecture Art Nouveau, est unique à Chihuahua Ciudad, probablement le plus beau de toute la ville. L'extérieur est, selon moi, plus intéressant que l'intérieur, néanmoins la visite peut valoir le coup d'oeil. Une section expose des objets qui rappellent l'histoire du lieu et son aménagement à l'époque où la maison était habitée; une autre section est dédiée à des expositions. Au printemps 2018, on y trouvait une exposition faisant référence et hommage à Miroslava Breach, une journaliste assassinée en 2018 à Chihuahua.
