An impressive system of caves in Chihuahua, offering a tour to admire original geological formations
At about 200 meters from the Sacramento River, here is an impressive system of caves that was discovered in the 16th century. The visit of the site spreads out on approximately 1 600 m and makes it possible to admire original geological formations; one visits 7 distinct rooms, the whole while being immersed in an ambient temperature of 27 to 33 °C and a humidity which reaches 70 %. It is now believed that the site was used centuries ago as a ceremonial centre for the local indigenous tribes, particularly the Apache and Comanche.
