Also known as the "Casa del Aguacate", this museum traces the history of the state of Durango and presents a collection of religious paintings by the famous painter Miguel Cabrera. In total, 1,400 pieces are spread over the 16 rooms of the museum, whose 19th-century building is characteristic of a style considered "Frenchified" in Mexico. The building and its interior are worth a visit. A good stopover for an introduction to the history of the region.
