MUSEO ZACATECANO
Museum with the history of Zacatecas, the history of the Camino Real Tierra Adentro, a collection of Huichol art and religious paintings
Located in the Casa de la Moneda, this museum nicely traces the history of the state of Zacatecas, from the region's pre-Hispanic past to the development of the mining and metallurgy industry, as well as the more general history of the Camino Real Tierra Adentro. The museum also houses an impressive collection of Huichol art and popular religious paintings from the 19th century. Two rooms are dedicated to the paintings of Manuel Carrasco (1929-) and the drawings of Antonio Pintor (1937-1982), considered the graphic historian of the city of Zacatecas. What to see.
