MUSEO FRANCISCO GOITIA
Museum built by the Spanish architect Máximo de la Pedraja with works by artists born in Zacatecas, including Francisco Goitia
The museum is a singular building surrounded by beautiful and spacious gardens, designed and built by the Spanish architect Máximo de la Pedraja. Here we discover 170 works divided into thematic rooms, produced over a period of one hundred years by six artists born in Zacatecas with a confusing and surprising career: Julio Ruelas (1870-1907), Francisco Goitia (1882-1960), José Kuri Breña (1913-2004), Pedro Coronel (1921-1985), Manuel Felguérez (1928) and Rafael Coronel (1931). To be discovered to know a whole part of the local and national art history.
