MUSEO JOSE GUADALUPE POSADA
Museum dedicated to the artist José Guadalupe Posada, engraver considered one of the founders of modern Mexican art.
This museum, by far the most interesting in the city, is dedicated to the great artist José Guadalupe Posada (1852-1913), a tireless engraver (more than 20,000 pieces to his credit) who was born in Aguascalientes and is sometimes considered one of the founders of modern Mexican art. His works show us his perception of the society of his time; caustic and satirical. His trademark is the calavera, a skull and crossbones emblematic of the Día de los Muertos.
