TEMPLO DE SAN FRANCISCO
Baroque temple from the 18th century with a statue of St. Francis of Assisi, paintings by Miguel Cabrera and Antonio Torres, sacristy
Overlooking a charming garden, this baroque building dates from the early 18th century. It was built by the Franciscans in order to evangelize the indigenous populations of San Luis Potosi and the surrounding areas. On the facade stands out a statue of St. Francis of Assisi. Don't miss the door to discover its interior, which contains paintings by Miguel Cabrera and Antonio Torres, an 18th century sacristy (the most beautiful in the city), a tubular organ and a magnificent oil lamp suspended in the shape of a galleon.
